Camping & Temple Trip!

This last weekend, Marc and I went camping with some friends in our ward. We were out near Bloomington Lake, which was spectacular! We sat around the camp fire for awhile just talking with everyone. That night was beautiful. I have never seen more stars in my entire life. It probably helped that we were out in the middle of nowhere. While we were sleeping, our beautiful starry sky turned into a VERY cloudy sky. Basically we got rained on again. Fortunately for us we were able to drive all our vehicles out this time around. That morning the Williamson's, from our ward, took us on a little hike to see Bloomington Lake.
The water was turquoise and extremely clear. We could see everything in the water. There was also a tree that had a rope swing tied to it. There was a man there with his three boys and dog. Keep in mind that it was FREEZING! Well this man helped one of his boys attach himself to the swing, meanwhile the dog is going nuts. Marc thought the dog knew something bad was going to happen. Well, once the boy was holding on properly the father gave him a little push and the boy swung out over the lake. Fortunately nothing bad happened. But he was pretty proud of himself.

Later that day we left for Logan to attend an open house for Jeff Levin (the brother of one of my very best friends). We stopped at our hotel and quickly got ready. Marc forgot to pack any dress shoes so he wore jeans, a dress shirt, and sandals. He felt so bad about the way he was dressed. Nobody there cared. In fact they all wish they could wear jeans too, but they weren't allowed. We spent the whole time chatting with the Levins. It was so fun to be there and see this family that had practically been my second family in high school.
After the open house Marc and I drove to the Logan temple to walk around.

The next day, we were invited to spend with the Levins. So while they were at church, we walked around the temple some more and a cute little park that we found while we were on the hill by the temple.
Over all, we had a wonderful weekend. Marc and his friend Josh are planning another camping trip for the 28th. Marc found us a camping site right at Bear Lake. We are so excited to go back!

Do you just love how it's cloudy in one picture and not the other? I guess different angles of the temple will also give you different angles of the sky. Who da thunk it!

LAGOON!

While we were in Utah (during the Crystal Springs adventure), Marc and I went to Lagoon. I told Marc that we were going to ride every roller coaster in the park. We both had a blast. We didn't go to Lagoona Beach because I have difficulty getting down the water slides. I always get stuck in the middle and I have no idea why. It's lame. Oh well, we still had a blast. It was a well deserved vacation that we were both in need of.
In this picture, we are on the ride that rocks you back and forth. Well marc thought it would be fun to see if he could get us to make a full circle. Well it never happened, but he did manage to get up upside down for a few seconds. What can I say, I married a crazy man :)

Crystal Falls

About a week after school was out, Marc and I were able to visit Marc's sister Aimee and her family. While we were there, we went to a place called crystal springs with Aimee and her family, Annette, and Nancy (Marc's mom). At one point Marc decided it would be fun to dunk Kayden in the "stream." So he picked up Kayden when he wasn't paying attention, flipped him upside down and got his head wet. Kayden thought it was pretty funny. I think the two of them had been having water fights with the water bottles leading up to the head dunking adventure.
Well the other kids thought it was just so funny that they wanted it done to them too. Marc had no problem getting them wet. Typical Marc

Later that day we stopped at a picnic area and barbecued with everyone. The adults played a game that Nancy had found called Bunkis. It was pretty fun. At one point it started to sprinkle very lightly. Everyone could feel the drops coming down and getting stronger except for Cameron, Aimee's friend. He thought we were all crazy until he went to help with luch and could suddenly feel the drops. We weren't so crazy after that.

Fun in Utah

Several weeks ago, Marc and I went to Utah to visit his mom and sister. While we were there we went to Thanksgiving point. There was a bow and arrow both were they let us shoot the arrows. I wasn't TOO bad. We definantly had a ton of fun!

4th of July

During the weekend of the 4th Marc and I were able to go to Rupert with our friends Josh & Lauren. On the 3rd they took us fishing. Marc caught a lot of tiny sucker fish while I caught two 9 pound giants!!! One was so big I was struggling to lift it with just the one hand.

ROAD CLOSED!

A few Sundays ago Marc and I thought it would be fun to go for a little drive. We were headed towards Yellow stone. Along the way we had passed several "Road Closed" signs due to the fact that the roads are not maintained pas that point during the winter months. Well the roads were clear so we pushed forward. About thirty minutes out we came to another "road closed" sign, but thought nothing of it. Well about twenty seconds later we had to stop. You may be wondering why since the roads we clear. Well there was about a two yard long one yard tall mound of snow blocking us from continuing. Here's were are trip really get funny. On the other side of the snow the road was CLEAR!
Well Marc decided that he wasn't ready to go home yet. So we ended driving all around Idaho for about four hours. At one point we decided to head home, so Marc to a paved road that was headed in the general direction of Rexburg. About a mile down the road our paved road turns into gravel. We thought that maybe it would turn into a paved road again, but we were wrong. Oh well. We still had a great time together. YEAH for Idaho!

Wedding Tag!

1. Wedding date?
December 29, 2007

2. Where were you married?
Bountiful Utah Temple

3. How long did you date?
Marc and I dated one year. Our first date was on december 16th 2006. One week
later we both went home for Christmas break. When we came back we went out
pretty much every weekend. It wasn't until around valentines day that I decided
I only wanted to see Marc, so I stopped saying yes to other guys. Our fisrt kiss
was the sunday of April's General Conference. Which also was the first time I
met MArc's sister's Aimee and Annette. We broke up for about a month in July,
but, obviously we got back together.

4. How long were you engagned?
About 3 months. We decided we were going to get married in October, but he didn't
actually purpose until mid November. He bought me a beautiful ring that I liked,
but surprised me by having a few features added to it causing me to fall in love
with it. About a week after he gave me my ring, it was taken away from me. The
guy who made it messed up. So we had to get it fixed.

5. Were you a bridezilla?
I don't think so. My mom and step mom did all the planning. The only thing I did was pick my dress.

6. What were your wedding colors?
Brown, cream, & sage green. My mom told me that my Grandfather (her dad) always
wanted one of his kids to use those colors. That made me ridiculously happy.
I'm not really sure why. He passed away several years ago, but I always loved
him. So I'm glad if would have liked my choice in colors.

7. How many bridesmaids/groomsmen?
None, but I did have my sister's wear special skirts that their grandma made for me. I didn't even give her a pattern and the skirts looked amazing!

8. Where did you honeymoon?
We stayed in Utah. On Sunday we went to the conference center and listen
to "Music and the Spoken Word" with the Tabernacle choir. Monday we went to
Marc's sister Aimee's house adn spent New Year's with his family that was still
in town. Tuesday we we to a resturant called "The Myan Adventure." The food was
okay, but the entertainment was pretty cool. the had two diving shows while we
were there. Wednesday we went to a play called "lend me a tenor." It was so
funny. Thursday I very sick. I fainted and spent the day in bed. Poor Marc was
so worried that he took me to see a doctor. Later that evening I was feeling
better so we walked around Temple Square. On friday we went to the IMAX and
saw "Deep Sea." Marc was dissapointed because we didn't see enough fish try and
eat each other. SUCH a guy! then we saw the Utah Symphony.

9. Where was your reception?
We had our reception in a little chapel in Bountiful.

10. Is there anything you regret or would like to redo?
I would get married in the Manti Temple during a summer month. I would also
take a bigger part in the planning. And, I wouldn't pay as much for pictures that
come out horrible. Maybe have a friend take them for us. Someone whose work I trust.

I tag: Everyone who reads this my blog!
